Collections of handcrafted, small batch Western Australian (& beyond) craft beer & whiskey injected with our own unique DNA.
Brewed & distilled professionally from both traditional & engineered beer recipes, each individual cask has a unique history, identity, & in many cases exploratory design concept, packed with consideration to connoisseurs & collectors without compromising approachability & appreciation.
Our production philosophy is to adhere to set parameters, respecting tradition & then explore, pushing boundaries of whiskey & space / volume exploration ~ murmurating, never settling on one ‘planet’ or cask as the final ‘waypoint’.
Our casks are individuals, products of brewery & distillery involvement with our team piloting & forever discovering… we travel on to new worlds. All bottles are numbered, crafted & bottled by hand, with casks uniquely laser etched with our original atworks.
Distrikt is Western Australia’s first authentic whiskey brand that is distilled from our very own ‘Neighbourhood Brew’ craft beer endeavours.

Slavonian, 112 litre heavy char 100% Virgin Oak, 27 months maturation
Sustainably sourced from Hungarian forests, this rare, high quality oak can be found in the Zemplen Mountains & in the Tokaj Oak Woods. This Oak type was selected to be the primary species used in the maturation of our signature Whiskey styles. A handful of leading Australian distilleries have released tiny bottlings to scale of this expression, with positive outcomes, although not simply ‘cloned’... or regenerated (due to oak scarcity). This particular species, format / quality of Oak Cask can prove difficult to procure. A fine grained, stylish & beautiful oak, in our spectrum – expressive & distinct.

The Launch of the 'Galactic Malt Zero' WA Straight Rye Whiskey celebrates what we believe is the first legally labelled Straight Rye Whiskey from Western Australia & Great Southern Grain, the final instalment of the Cosmic Rhythm Rye Expression & the first Distrikt Whiskey made through a Whiskey wash recipe created specifically for this project.
The Cosmic Rhythm Rye series is all about introducing new audiences to, & showcasing what is possible with a highly overlooked on shelf and underrated savoury cereal grain - in new oak types & essentially 'new world' styles, techniques, terror & sustainable recipes.
It began with a prototype & this 100% unmalted 61% Rye and 39% unmalted Barley with Esperance Honey & Lactobacillius fermentation, 2.5 years in new Char 3 American Oak is the finished product of that project or journey with the Hungarian Oak Vacuum distilled Rye & the Cosmic Toast Char Level Zero preceding our American Oak Great Southern Grain Series One to complete the set.
As we foray back to malts and an alternate perspective on Whiskey making, one more experimental satellite or 'rhythm' may appear later in the year to drive the brand back around to the other side of the sun.

A staple & much loved expression, an American Oak Cask was sourced from the Barossa by our Cooper in W.A. An inspiration for our next exploration into ‘Rye’, this cask is close to our heart.
